New ASU study links microplastic pollution to swimwear / KJZZ

A study by Arizona State University found swimsuits can be a source of microplastics in recreational waters like pools and rivers. Researchers sampling the Salt River when it was open to the public vs. closed found significant microplastics after peak visitor times.

Phoenix’s Chamberlain University, which offers a three-year bachelor’s degree in nursing, is growing its enrollment by nearly 70%. The for-profit school has about 660 students. A new facility will include a simulation lab that replicates hospital and clinical settings.

The Food and Drug Administration has authorized 950 AI or machine learning-enabled devices, according to the agency’s database. The trend is driven by more connected devices and more investment into AI and machine learning.
